2009 Ladies Prizegiving

The Ladies Prizegiving Dinner for 2009 was held on Friday 6th November with an excellent turnout. The prizes were presented by Lady Captain Pauline Warlow (right) and Lady Vice-Captain Maureen Meek (left) and the presentations were arranged by the Match Secretary Hilda Everett.

The top award of the evening was to the Lady Champion, Jane Lees, who also won the Silver Thistle Brooch, the Silver Ringer, and the Mixed Greensomes. |
| Runner-up in the Championship and winner of the Stevenson Trophy was Jenny Potter. This was mostly a year of "second places" for Jenny as she also came second in both the Sir John Train Shield and the Clubhouse Trophy, but she won the Knock-out Foursomes with Nan Brunton - a very successful year. |

Runner-up in the Hollingworth Trophy competition was Gillian McInnes..........

..........whilst the winner was Margaret Forrest.

In the MacAllan Salver second place went to Margaret Brown who won the second Round of the competition.

Winner of this trophy was Fiona Horne who also won the third Round and won the September Stableford Silver prize.

Donna Hunter is seen here being presented with the Mollie Montgomery Memorial Trophy, and she also won the Jubilee Quaich, the Autumn Meeting Bronze prize, the September Stableford Bronze prize, and the 2nd Round of the MacAllan Salver.

The winner of the Osborne Cup was Janet Milne.

The winner of the Senior Trophy, June Walker, was not able to be present but the Runner-up, Isabel Robertson, was and is seen here collecting her prize.

Irene Duffy was another Lady who had a very successful year. She is seen her being presented with the Clubhouse Trophy but also won the Silver Tumbler, the Winter League, came second in the Bernardo's competition, and won the Junior/Senior Trophy (see below).

The Jubilee Quaich was, as mentioned earlier, won by Donna Hunter. |

Lady Captain Pauline was herself the recipient of the Scratch Aggregate Quaic, presented by Lady Vice-Captain Maureen Meek.

The Jubilee Cup was won by Margaret Forrest to add to the Hollingworth Trophy. |

Winners of the Junior/Senior competition (open to both Ladies and Gents) were mother and daughter team Irene and Alexandra,
|
To prove that she could win on her own, Alexandra was the winner of the Thomson Trophy. This was presented to the Club by Sandy Thomson and his daughter, Marjorie Seymour, to encourage young girl golfers. It is awarded for the best eclectic score from April to September and Alexandra has won it in only her 3rd year of playing golf.

Not everyone could be Prize Winners, but as the photos below show everyone went on to enjoy themselves after the Prizegiving had been completed.
