Bob Irvine Memorial Cairn and Plaque for Ladies Centenary

Dr Bob Irvine, who died in 2004, was a long-time Member of Cathkin Braes Golf Club who had a great interest in the Ladies Section of Cathkin Braes Golf Club and was the Ladies' Representative on the Committee of Management for several years. His wife, Dygwydd, also a Member, and the rest of his family kindly decided to donate a Cairn in memory of Bob to commemorate the Centenary of the Ladies Section, and this has taken the form of a Direction Post towards the Ladies 17th tee. From the pictures below it is clear that this is both a fitting memorial to Bob and an excellent record of the Ladies Centenary.
