Captain George Buchanan was unable to attend so Vice-Captain Ian Ballard was Chairman for the evening. |

| Eddie Meek, a prominent Club Member and a Past President of the Bridgeton Burns Club, gave the Address to the Haggis |
Eddie also gave the Toast to the Guests and drew on his extensive experience of speking together with his knowledge of the Club and golf to make it entertaining.

The main speech of the evening, the Immortal Memory, was given by Jack McKinney. Jack is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors who has appeared on numerous occasions as an Expert Witness. He is a Past President of the Bridgeton Burns Club, and a member of the Glasgow Haggis Club, and has given the Immortal Memory at, among other locations, the Fringe.
He gave a full summary of Burns's life interspersed with many direct quotes and humourous anecdotes.

John Belshaw has recited Tam O'Shanter at Cathkin Burns Suppers on several occasions, but never more smoothly than this year.........

......and as usual he wandered among the audience with his own special "Meg the Horse".

J Alan McLennan gave a very entertaining Reply on Behalf of the Guests. Alan is no stranger to Cathkin, having been at Rutherglen Academy before undertaking his training as an Architect at the Glasgow School of Art and Glasgow University, and is a past Member of the Club. He also gave the Immortal Memory in 2009. |
| The speaker asked to do the Vote of Thanks does not usually look forward to it with great enthusiasm given the amount of alcohol others will have consumed before he stands up but Past Captain Martin Hughes made an excellent job of it, being comprehensive, hunourous and succinct. |

| The singer for the evening had once again been Campbell Kerr and his fantastic voice held the audience enthralled with his fantastic voice. |
The evening was brought to a close in the traditional way, singing "Auld Lang Syne", led by Vice-Captain Ian Ballard who had chaired the eveing so efficiently and effectively. | |
