About the Website
Username and Password
The Username and Password which Members need in order to access the "Members" pages is given in Club Diary. If you do not have this to hand you can get the password by asking the Secretary or any of the Committee. You will be asked for these details if you click on a link to a page which is designed to be viewed only by Members.
Questions about the Website
Please help by letting us know about any problems you experience with this website – difficulties in navigating between pages, pages slow to load, pages not fitting on your screen, links which do not work etc. As websites can appear in different ways on different Operating Systems, monitors and Operating Systems (Windows 98, XP, Mac's etc) your feedback will help us to improve the usability of the site for all our Members and Visitors.
To bring up a form on which you can give us your comments click here.
It would be helpful to let us have details of the Operating System you are using.
Any comments on the site or suggestions for improvements or changes to what it includes would also be welcome but these should be made to the Captain or Secretary in the usual way.
What The Website Contains
The News section on the"Home" page will be updated regularly to give information about recent or forthcoming events or any other topics the Committee of Management feel should be brought to the attention of Members.
When you click on any of the pages in the drop-down menu under the "Members" heading you will be asked to enter the Username and Password before you can see them. These need be entered only once each time you visit the site.
Calendar of Events
This will include everything which is in the Members Diary. Since Visiting Parties are often added during the year, extra social events are decided on, and other events such as Team Matches are sometimes changed from the time or date in the published Diary, it is planned to keep the on-line Calendar up to date. This will allow Members to check when the Tee is reserved.
When this page opens you will see what is on in the current and the following month. Clicking on the title of an event will give you more details - you may have to scroll down on that page to see the "close this window" button and return to the list. Clicking on a date will list the times of everything on that day. Clicking on a tab at the bottom (under "Main Menu") will take you to the relevant listng. For example, "Current Year" will give you a 12 month calendar and you can click on any day to go to it or navigate to future and past years. Clicking on "Search" will allow you to enter a word and go to everything which has that word in the title or description. eg if you enter "ladies" you will see all the events for that category (competitions, functions dances etc).
Starting Sheets, Competition Results, List of Handicaps, and Knock-Out Competitions
We will try to keep these as up to date as possible. Click on the appropriate menu item in the drop-down menu under "Members" and then on the title of item which you want to view. In the page which appears click on the "View File" icon or the words "To view file click here". The Starting Sheets are for the Gents Saturday and Sunday Competitions and the Knock-Out Competitions section show who is through to successive rounds.
You will need the Adobe Reader software to open the file but if you do not have it you can download it free from www.adobe.com . After looking at the file close it by clicking on the red square with the white cross at the top right hand corner of your screen.
Member Downloads
This page will contain documents which are of interest to Members. It contains for example the Minutes of the various AGM's and Special General Meetings.
