Derivation Firs: originally this was one of the few parts of the Course to have any trees on it.
Description An accurate drive is needed here to keep right of the trees which line the left of the teeing ground without being caught by the bunker 200 yards away on the other side of the Fairway or the tree plantation to the right of it – starting out right with a slight draw is the ideal shot. This also takes two bunkers on the right half of the Fairway 50-100 yards short of the Green out of play, but if the third shot is pushed right, level with the green, a sole tree and a bunker between it and the Green make a good recovery almost impossible.
