Derivation Braes: so called because of the double rise in level of the fairway over the length of the hole.
Description After the intimidating first three holes it is a relief to face a generous Fairway, elevated relative to the Tee, but beware the tendency to go too far right – you could have to chip out sideways from the tree plantation which runs parallel to the middle third of this long Par 4. The prevailing westerly wind helps but it still requires a good long second to reach the Green.
